Since October 2025: I have been babysitting a one-year-old baby in Paris about twice a month. These are mainly evening babysitting sessions during which we share quiet moments, playing games and reading stories. I then change his nappy, prepare his bottle and rock him to help him fall asleep peacefully. Once he is in bed, I remain very attentive to his sleep, ensuring his comfort and the temperature of his room so that he has a peaceful night. It is a job that requires a lot of gentleness and constant attention.

From November 2024 to June 2025: I was an au pair in London, where I looked after two children aged 3 and 5 (30 hours per week). My routine began in the morning with preparing breakfast, getting them washed and dressed, and taking them to school. In addition to caring for the children, I kept the house tidy by doing their laundry and cleaning their bedrooms. The afternoons were devoted to activities: I picked them up from school and took them to their extracurricular activities, organised creative games, prepared meals and managed bath time. Sometimes I was responsible for babysitting in the evening, and the bedtime ritual was a gentle one with stories and cuddles. During the holidays, I kept them entertained all day long with picnics, trips to the park and baking workshops, always in a happy and caring atmosphere!

From September 2023 to September 2024: I was an au pair in Texas, USA. I looked after a 4-year-old child (between 37 and 45 hours per week). In the mornings, I took care of getting her ready, breakfast and the journey to school. In the afternoons, I would pick her up and take her to her extracurricular activities or speech therapy appointments. I organised games and fun activities, prepared meals and took care of bath time, sometimes I would look after her in the evenings. During the school holidays, I looked after her all day, and we would go to the park, the lake, the zoo, the swimming pool, etc. This total immersion allowed me to practise English on a daily basis and to fully integrate into a different culture. It was a formative experience that developed my patience, my teaching skills, my sense of responsibility and my ability to adapt.

May to June 2023: I completed an internship as a Senior Education Advisor (CPE) at Mahina College in French Polynesia. My role was to ensure a peaceful school environment by managing conflicts on a daily basis, whether between students or with parents. I was particularly involved in monitoring truant students and raising awareness of drug use issues. I also played an active role in preventing and combating bullying. Working alongside the CPE and teaching staff, I was able to observe and understand how the school works by attending coordination meetings, class councils and disciplinary councils. It was an intense human experience that strengthened my ability to listen and manage complex situations.

During the 2022-2023 school year: I provided daily homework assistance to a 14 years old student. This support was unique because the child had DYS disorders (dyslexia, dysorthographia and dysgraphia), which required me to constantly adapt my working methods. Beyond simple academic support, I implemented specific teaching tools to facilitate his learning and help him regain his self-confidence. This experience called on all my patience, kindness and empathy to create a calm and motivating working environment.

From 2020 to 2022: I was an assistant Tahitian dance teacher at the Nonahere and ‘O Hinahere schools. I taught groups of children aged 3 to 10 to dance ‘Ori Tahiti, teaching them traditional choreography and songs. My role went beyond teaching dance: I was actively involved in designing and making their costumes, as well as all the logistics for the end-of-year galas. It was a joyful and creative experience that allowed me to develop my teaching skills with young children and share with them the richness of Polynesian culture.

From 2016 to 2023: Alongside my studies, I regularly babysat for private families in French Polynesia. I had the opportunity to look after children of a wide range of ages, from 9-month-old infants to 11-year-old pre-teens. Whether babysitting during the day or in the evening, I ensured their well-being by organising appropriate games and activities, helping them with their homework and preparing their meals. I also managed quieter moments such as bath time and bedtime routines. These seven years of working with families have allowed me to become very versatile and to adapt easily to each child’s rhythm.
