Since September 2024, I have been caring for two boys aged 8 and 10. I pick them up from school every day and sometimes take them to their extracurricular activities. I then guide them through their evening routine: snack, homework, shower, and calm or playful activities.
Every Wednesday, I also look after a 6-year-old girl. We enjoy time together playing games, reading, drawing, or taking walks in the park, depending on her mood and rhythm. I am also frequently recommended by parents for occasional babysitting, thanks to the trust I’ve built with families.
In 2023, I spent two months in New Zealand as an au pair. I lived with an English-speaking family and cared for three children aged 1, 4, and 7. I accompanied them to the beach and swimming pool, ensuring their safety during water activities. I managed their full daily routine: care, meals, transportation, playtime, naps, and bedtimes. This immersive experience greatly improved my adaptability and strengthened my English skills. That same year, I assisted a family during a birthday weekend in the countryside. I was responsible for entertaining and supervising a group of children throughout the event. The large garden allowed us to enjoy outdoor activities. I organized age-appropriate games (ball games, hide and seek, storytelling, puppetry, etc.) in a safe environment, enabling the parents to fully enjoy their celebration.
In 2020, and during every school holiday for the following three years, I cared for a little girl from the age of 10 months. I read her stories and taught her to count. I sang nursery rhymes, and over time, she began to sing along with me. I fed her, kept up with her hygiene routine, and put her to bed at the times set by her parents. This regular experience allowed me to witness her development and build a strong relationship of trust with her family.
Since 2019 I started babysitting in 2019. All of these experiences have shaped my attentive and nurturing approach to childcare.
I’m also the big sister of a younger brother, which gave me a sense of responsibility from anearly age.
