In 2026, in Kyoto, Japan : As part of my studies at Sciences Po Paris, I had the opportunity to spend six months in Japan as an exchange student. During this time, I looked after two children, aged 8 and 5, three times a week after school. I would pick them up from school and we would usually spend some time at the park with their friends before heading home by public transport. Once home, I took care of their evening routine, including preparing their showers and dinner, helping them with their homework, and reading with them before bedtime. Depending on the day, we would also go out for a snack, have dinner somewhere, or enjoy a different activity together.

In 2025, in Australia : I regularly looked after an 8-year-old girl as part of an au pair experience. I helped her get ready in the morning before school and took care of her after-school routine in the afternoon and evening. I accompanied her to her extracurricular activities, prepared dinner, helped her with her homework and spent some quiet time reading with her before bedtime. This experience allowed me to become fully involved in her daily routine and to develop my independence and sense of responsibility in a different family and cultural environment.

From 2020 to 2023, in Paris : While I was a student at the Maison d’Éducation de la Légion d’honneur, I was recommended by a mother from the school to regularly look after her two daughters, aged 10 and 7 at the beginning of the arrangement, who were both students at the school’s middle school. I supported them with their daily routines and schoolwork, particularly with their homework and organisation. This experience helped me develop my patience, sense of responsibility and ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs.

Since September 2023 : I have been involved with Regards d’Afrique, an organisation working to reduce educational inequalities. I support young people with their educational guidance and take part in creative, hands-on and cultural activities during after-school programmes in several primary schools. This experience gives me the opportunity to work regularly with children, organise activities adapted to their ages and support them in their learning and discovery of new activities.

From 2021 to 2023 : As part of my involvement with Arpej Saint-Denis, I volunteered once a week throughout my high school years, providing academic support and guidance to young people, including preparation for the French Baccalauréat exams. I helped students organise their work, prepare for their exams and gain confidence in their academic journey.

Having grown up surrounded by younger children in my family, I have always been comfortable spending time with children and I still regularly look after my younger cousins. I also regularly attended day camps and summer camps throughout my childhood and teenage years. I particularly remember the caring and attentive activity leaders who knew how to create an environment that was both fun and reassuring. These experiences gave me a strong appreciation for group activities and inspired me to create the same kind of enjoyable, positive and engaging moments for children.
